"Planned as a casual, community-focused destination in Blue Diamond, this 1,980-square-foot restaurant with a bar and a 1,055-square-foot outdoor patio aims to open in mid-March and serve both locals and eco-tourists — particularly the area's many cyclists and hikers. Created by local residents Steven Enger and Jody Lyman, it will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (extended to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays) and offers coffee, fresh-baked pastries, artisan pizzas (backed by a recently delivered large pizza oven), panini, salads, beer, wine and cider. The space features reclaimed wood walls made from the original blue garages that once stood on the site and is positioned about 18 miles from the Strip as a convenient day-trip stop." - Bradley Martin
