"I learned a St. Louis–based pizzeria, ’Zza Pizza + Salad, opened on Sunday, December 15 in Bee Cave at 5511 State Highway 71 within Colinas Crossing. Although it hails from St. Louis, it doesn’t serve that city’s distinctive firm, cracker-style crust — the pies at ’Zza’s locations are a bit softer, with toppings that range from classic margherita and sausage to modern twists like the Il Greco (zucchini, tomato, feta, and za’atar) and the Thai Dye (spicy peanut sauce, chicken, and a sesame mix), plus a build-your-own option. Salads are also central to the menu, including classic Cobb and panzanella, a Cesar with greens, cotija, tortilla chips, tajin, chipotle caesar dressing, and chicken, and the So Very Berry with greens, strawberries, basil, pecans, blue cheese, and a berry vinaigrette. Co-owner Ryan McManus says the Bee Cave space will have a classic, clean, timeless, and welcoming vibe geared toward locals, aiming to provide convenience as well as a place to stay for a while, and further expansions in Austin or elsewhere in Texas are likely." - Tim Forster
