"Dakhan means “smoked” in Arabic and that’s what this Palestinian-owned restaurant specializes in: Smoked and grilled meat and seafood platters — including kufta kebab, lamb chops, and basa fish — are the star here. But other dishes are stellar as well, like the mansaf — a huge platter of cooked lamb shanks in yogurt sauce. It’s common in home cooking but not usually seen in restaurants, so this is a great place to try it if you haven’t already. It’s also a great place to get a traditional Arab breakfast, including chicken livers with Arabic salad and fresh pita, foul mudammas, or qalaya cheese with eggs." - Nylah Iqbal Muhammad
