"I'm told Q'rico Pollo is taking over the ground-floor corner space previously home to Smoke’s Poutinerie and Jared’s Old Fashioned Hot Dogs & Hamburgers and is still finalizing its menu, but will debut a budget-priced “authentic Mexican” offering and—unlike its burger-slinging predecessor—will be open for lunch and dinner. The namesake chicken dishes are slow-roasted and served with a choice of two sides, including fried yucca or plantains, and a whole chicken cut into quarters will be available to purchase. Also planned are fish or shrimp tacos, a quesadilla that can be made with Mexican sausage, burritos or bowls, empanadas, and a house special “cheeseshell taco” built with a choice of protein and a queso shell.
