Man With Anti-Trump Shirt Booted From Richardson Restaurant - Eater Dallas
"Over the weekend, a Dallas man was booted from the Richardson outpost of First Watch Cafe for wearing a t-shirt that read “Fuck Trump, and fuck you for voting for him” on the front. Andy Ternay wore the offending t-shirt to brunch at the Richardson cafe on Sunday, and while he was eating, a manager reportedly asked him to leave. According to The Daily Beast, other diners at the restaurant complained that the shirt, which also read “Fuck the racist alt-right” on the back, were “distressed [and noted] that children might see it.” A police officer was reportedly called to the restaurant, but no arrests were made. A server, however, did reportedly “quit his job on the spot” in response to Ternay’s treatment. Ternay shared his experience in a Facebook post, which racked up hundreds of thousands of shares and likes before it was made private or deleted. After the post went viral, people from all over the country began leaving one-star reviews of the restaurant on Yelp, citing the incident with Ternay.
