"Opening at 2213 Northwest Market Street, this new Thai restaurant will officially open Saturday after a few preview nights; its cuisine covers four different regions of Thailand and menu items are marked with letters to indicate their origin. Among the offerings are river prawns with galangal sauce (central region), salted squid and egg (south), and fermented Isan sausage. There will also be a handful of cocktails, including a Thai tea made with two kinds of rum, and cocktails are $7 during a daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The dining room—located in the former home of Root Table—goes for a minimalist, modern vibe with floral touches, white walls, Edison bulbs, and the restaurant’s name emblazoned in huge letters on one wall. It will face immediate competition in Ballard, where three Thai restaurants sit within a couple of blocks." - Gabe Guarente
