"Arriving at the stadium in Landover, Maryland, I learned it will reopen at full capacity on Friday, August 20 for the Washington Football Team’s first preseason home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. After spending most of 2020 playing in an empty stadium because of COVID-19 restrictions, the team worked to improve the game-day experience by recruiting small businesses to operate concessions; in June they invited a panel of local chefs, team executives, food writers, and influencers to judge vendors, and as a result eight restaurants were chosen to start selling mumbo sauce wings, quesabirria tacos, and fried shrimp and crab cake sandwiches during home games. The team’s 2021 policy requires masks in indoor areas when not actively eating or drinking, and concessions will be completely cashless." - Vinciane Ngomsi
