"Betsy’s, a new restaurant from the minds behind Eloise Nichols Grill and Liquors, Adair Kitchen, and more Houston favorites, has officially opened its doors at Evelyn’s Park in Bellaire. The restaurant quietly made its debut at 4400 Bellaire Boulevard this week, replacing The Ivy & James at Evelyn’s Park. The interiors of the historic Yellow House have gotten a revamp via a “buttercream yellow” bar, black and white striped wallpaper from Farrow & Black, topiaries, and a vintage photo of the restaurant’s namesake, owners Nick Adair and Katie Adair Barnhart’s mother Betsy. Outside, picnic tables and patio chairs await for outdoor dining overlooking the park. As far as the fare is concerned, comforting eats like steel cut oats made with maple-pecan non-dairy milk, the beloved Eloise Nichols black bean burger, and a pesto rice bowl are on the menu, along with coffee drinks, breakfast tacos, and pizza. A lengthy list of wines and beers will also be on offer. Betsy’s is now open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m." - Amy McCarthy
