"After five years in Royal Oak, Roak Brewing is preparing to let go of its taproom, brewing facility, and equipment on East Lincoln as part of a consolidation following its acquisition of Dark Horse Brewing Co. in Marshall; that merger wrapped up in February just as the pandemic hit Michigan, creating financial challenges. Roak will continue brewing Dark Horse and Roak beers from one facility in Marshall, and CEO John Leon says she’s in talks with local brewers to take over the Royal Oak space while hoping to eventually reopen a Roak taproom elsewhere in the city." - Brenna Houck
