Straight From New York Pizza Will Open a Pizzeria on Hawthorne | Eater Portland

"Opening a new location half a mile away at 37th and Hawthorne in the former Pizza Oasis space, Straight From New York Pizza plans to open by August 26 to serve slices and beer during the Hawthorne Street Fair; manager Tommy Lang says the space won’t change much beyond a coat of paint, several staff who once worked at Pizza Oasis are eager to restore the location to its heydays, the shop will cater to neighborhood workers and passersby with quality pizza by the slice and a solid tap list, the pinball machines aren’t going anywhere, and because Hawthorne attracts more shoppers and tourists the new spot may not stay open as late as the Belmont store—however it will offer delivery (the Belmont location currently does not), and they’ll consider late-night delivery if there’s demand (the West Burnside spot does delivery but only to the west side)." - Alex Frane
