"A 52,000-square-foot food and retail hall in residential Edgewater that feels more like RiNo thanks to its repurposed King Soopers bones, industrial metal-and-concrete finish, exposed ceilings and quirky murals (including a steer strumming a guitar near Red Rocks). Highlights include a rooftop bar built in a 28-foot Airstream trailer that offers sweeping views across Sloan’s Lake to the downtown Denver skyline, a larger downstairs bar and a coffee kiosk. The site features abundant free parking (over 400 spaces directly in front) and a distinctive 50-foot neon sign reminiscent of the Pike Place Market marquee. About 14 food-and-drink stalls are open now—many stall versions of established Denver food trucks—offering everything from Ethiopian and Greek to tacos, mac and cheese and lobster rolls, with additional vendors such as Barquentine Brewing Co. and a Meta Burger outpost yet to come online. The market’s published hours run daily, closing at midnight on weeknights and 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays." - Paul Albani-Burgio
