"Reopened at 50th and France, this French-style cafe marks the return of a beloved brand, designed as an homage to French dining culture and to Gavin Kaysen’s own story, with walls lined in career mementos like his Food & Wine Best New Chef cover, his Académie Culinaire de France honor, and his Bocuse d’Or certificate. Kaysen, director of pastry Alexandra Motz, and pastry chef/general manager Nicole Wilke are bringing back Bellecour favorites while expanding beyond past bakery iterations to create a comfortable, beautiful room where guests can sit for a glass of rosé and an endive salad. From 7 a.m., coffee and espresso accompany croissants, monkey bread, Danishes, cookies, scones, and the signature crepe cake; at 10:30 a.m., lunch adds a concise list of wines by the glass, Champagne, and beer to French café staples like a soft French omelet with Boursin and fine herbs, decadent French toast soaked in cinnamon crème anglaise, a bright salad Lyonnaise, and a classic jambon beurre layered with salted butter and Gruyere on a baguette. Open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily." - Katherine Lawless
