Rosie's Cafe - Review - East Point - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Sometimes you want those big, made-for-weekends breakfast plates without the overstimulation (hookah, flower walls, and loud music) that usually accompanies Atlanta’s brunch scene. That's when Rosie’s Coffee Cafe in East Point steps in, offering a cozy, downhome atmosphere serving up generously portioned comfort food. The wood-paneled, sunlit space feels like a big neighborhood coffee shop, the kind you can settle into for hours. The Southern-leaning menu works whether you’re solo with a laptop, sipping a latte and working through a buttery biscuit, or rolling in for a post-church brunch. The crisp swai fish with creamy grits is a solid move, but we especially love the Specialty Pancake Platter—velvety pancakes drenched in thick cinnamon syrup. Food Rundown Biscuit The biscuit is the size of a softball—thick and buttery. Goes great with a coffee. Lemon Pepper Wings The lemon pepper barely shows up. Unless you’re desperate for wings, these are an easy pass. Rosie’s Fish & Grits The swai fish is lightly breaded, well-seasoned, and fried just enough to hold up against a bed of creamy, buttery grits that don’t need much help to stand on their own. Solid, comforting, and built to fill you up. Specialty Pancake Platter The Cinnamon Toast Crunch pancakes are the move—velvety, sweet, and stacked with cinnamon syrup and powdered sugar that edge into dessert territory. They’re rich but not overwhelming, and the cereal adds just enough crunch to make them feel like a treat. PlayMute video credit: Jacinta Howard Big Will’s Turkey Burger The patty is thick, juicy, and seasoned all the way through. Easily one of the strongest non-breakfast options on the menu. Breakfast Burrito This comes stuffed with potatoes, scrambled eggs, and your choice of protein (like bacon or sausage). Unfortunately, it’s dry. There are better things here. Café Latte Not the strongest latte in town, but it’s smooth and does the job if you’re easing into the morning." - Jacinta Howard
