"Cöödie has big eye-roll potential. The clinical-looking, minimalist Peckham cookie bar has a sculptural, curved coffee station and uncomfortable, steel, backless stools, and the cookies come in flavours like raspberry with hoisin sauce and ruby chocolate. But what saves this spot from being irritating is the warm service and the fact that the cookies are good. Each has a lovely buttery texture and the coffee here is great too. Still, Cöödie is not going to work for a lot of occasions. Scrap anything that requires comfort, visual stimuli, or sitting for a large period of time. Instead, come for a creative cookie with your most design-conscious friend, or get a mini haul to take away. photo credit: Cöödie photo credit: Cöödie Food Rundown Sobrasada And Cheese This tastes like a Carr’s cheese melt, with the addition of smoky, meaty sobrasada paste. If you can get your head around the strong flavours and the fact that it’s a savoury cookie, it’s tasty. Although, the pipette is unnecessary and doesn’t help the feeling of being in a lab under observation. photo credit: Cöödie Raspberry With Hoisin Sauce And Ruby Chocolate A delicious cookie that doesn’t taste discernibly like hoisin sauce at all. But the raspberry and ruby chocolate aren’t too sweet so perhaps it’s doing background balancing work. This was very good—different, but not just for the sake of it. photo credit: Cöödie" - Sinéad Cranna
