"Petite Dumpling is an appropriately named, tiny Chinese restaurant on 5th Avenue that you could easily miss if you weren’t on the hunt for plump har gow. (Which begs the question—why aren’t you?) The Park Slope spot quietly serves dishes you won’t find anywhere else in the neighborhood, like thin-skinned soup dumplings, and chicken sticky rice tucked away in a lotus leaf. There are a few tables inside the narrow space where you should eat your har gow next to a seven-year-old slurping wonton soup after a particularly strenuous day of 2nd grade. If you opt for takeout, skip the soup dumplings, which don’t travel well." - willa moore, will hartman
