"Augie’s Breakfast Bar in Edgewood has a really good brunch with an old-school diner feel. It's the kind of place where you’ll probably make a friend, or bump elbows with your neighbor. Servers hustle between tables topping off coffee, while cooks flip pancakes on the flat top in the open kitchen. It’s always busy with a cast of regulars who argue loudly about the Falcons’ playoff chances as they slather syrup on their fluffy stacks. Even when it's packed, you can usually snag a quick seat at the bar, where you get a front row view of the kitchen while you dig into great hearty Southern staples like thick, chargrilled steak and buttery biscuits.
