But at Hallman & Klee, each of the seven courses is as simple-looking but complex-tasting as the last, with the vegetarian tasting menu and non-alcoholic pairings as painstakingly considered as the meaty, boozy one. It doesn’t matter who you bring—the client you’re trying to impress or the long-term partner you’re trying to marry—you’ll forget they exist from the moment you bite into the warm house-baked pretzel that kicks off your meal. The menu changes frequently, but pray to whatever god you believe in that the kitchen is serving the wagyu with sunflower and dashi, andpoussinwith morel and XO sauce, when you visit.
