"Pelicana is one of the most popular fried chicken chains in Seoul, so it comes with a big reputation—and the LA locations (mostly) live up to it. The original double-fried chicken is tasty with a nice crunch, but we prefer to go full-sauce mode here. The variety glazed in their signature sauce is sweet, spicy, and sticky enough that you should put your phone away before picking up a drumstick—it’s not making it out clean otherwise. Even the breast pieces drip with juice. They also have other sides like tteokbokki and cheese-dusted fries, but if you’re going to order one thing non-chicken, make it the dessert balls, a.k.a. the turducken of sweets. They're stuffed with either molten chocolate, caramel, or stretchy sweet cheese, then wrapped in a layer of warm mochi and coated in cookie crumbs." - Cathy Park
