Lahmaju House - Review - North Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Located inside a North Hollywood strip mall, Lahmaju House is an Armenian bakery where you can pick up potato perashki from a hot case and order freshly baked mini lahmajun that’s in and out of the oven within five minutes. This place doesn’t necessarily make our favorite lahmajun in town (the crust is a little too cracker-like), but both the lamb and beef toppings have a tomato-y tang and unexpected spice kick. If you’re in the area and need a quick snack, Lahmaju House is a solid option. Food Rundown Potato Perashki A potato-stuffed bun is as heavy as it sounds, but this is our favorite treat to get at Lahmaju House. There’s a lot of great stuff happening in the texture department: crispy, bubbly fried crust, fluffy inside, and a delicious tomato-y mashed potato filling that sticks to the roof of your mouth. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Lamb and Cheese Lahmajun The flavorful, slightly spicy lamb topping is almost delicious enough to make you forget the underwhelming flatbread. A solid snack overall.
