"This diner is a relic of Old San Juan. There are Coca-Cola straw dispensers, grayscale pictures of the neighborhood from before reggaeton existed, and servers wearing vintage vests that look like they’ve been around since day one. The old-timey feel adds to the charm of hunkering down to San Juan’s best mallorca sandwiches, or sweet breads filled with things like ham, fried eggs, and cheese. Out of the eight on the menu, there’s no wrong order—even just a buttered one tastes glorious with a café con leche.
