Sitting on the edge of Beacon Hill in the shadow of the Statehouse, 21st Amendment is dark, with a fireplace, low ceilings, and the sort of historical lore other Boston bars would kill for. The building it’s in was built in 1899, and legend has it that JFK, who had an apartment nearby, wrote speeches in the space.
