Boadas Cocktails

Cocktail bar · el Raval

"Boadas opened in 1933, on the corner of the slightly dingy Tallers Street and what was once the ultra-fashionable Las Ramblas. Today, Barcelona’s oldest cocktail bar is flanked by the city’s finest mime artists, kebab shops, and counterfeit Fendis. You’re greeted by the buzz of Cuban beats and cocktail shakers, some of the city’s cheeriest barmen dressed in mint-green tuxes and bowties, and the scent of vintage leather. As the legend goes, Miguel Boadas returned from Cuba in 1933 and brought the cocktail to the city. Today, most of his recipes have been given a glow-up (thanks to the Sips team who recently stepped in as co-owners), like their signature daiquiri—served halfway between chilled and frozen—which will help you regain your will to live after traipsing all over the city, especially in summer." - Isabelle Kliger
