"Run by two guys named Hugo, this 28-seat bar delivers on its name. It’s also a fun place to kill an afternoon or a whole evening slurping oysters and sipping cocktails. Those seats fill up fast, so show up early or come solo to ensure a spot. The milk-washed Blame It on the Juice is one of the best cocktails we’ve had this year, lightly fruity and floral from the honeydew-infused vermouth. We liked it with the scallop aguachile swimming in a spicy green liquid that’ll bolt you upright. Or get a half-dozen Royal Oysters, which—considering they’re topped with uni and caviar—is a pretty reasonable use of $45. But it’s not all snacks and seafood here. There’s an incredible burger sporting jammy caramelized onions and melted gruyere that’s worth suggesting a name change to Hugo’s Burger Bar." - Kevin Gray
