"Bird Road has a couple of Nicaraguan places, including this fritanga that serves one of the most generous portions of gallo pinto and carne asada you’ll find anywhere in Miami. For $13.50, you get four heaping scoops of rice, two slabs of steak, and a half-dozen maduros. The small takeout spot only has two chairs. If you claim one, you can watch the cooks grill juicy, smoky carne asada over open flames. The downside? The gallo pinto tastes like it was cooked in old oil and the maduros are dry.
