"Plaid is the unofficial mascot at Nadáir—it's on the leather bench seating, the floor, and occasionally on kilt-wearing customers, so you can use this place as an excuse to flaunt your Celtic pride outfit knowing you’ll blend in with the tapestries. This Scottish-leaning spot, from the chef behind Gunshow, offers excellent six- ($175) or three-course ($85 ) dinners that focus on wood-fire cooking. And it's that charred kiss from the flames that make tender meats like the pork shoulder shine. Though this place is meat-centered, the incorporation of fresh veggies makes dishes like lamb tartare with roasted pistachios and green tomatoes taste incredibly light and zesty. The lobster with creamy thermidor sauce is equally fresh-tasting.
