"What It Is: A bar on top of a hotel in Soho Perfect For: Wasting Your Time And Money Last summer, the rooftop at the Arlo Soho was a beach-themed place called Harold’s Surf Shack, and it was one of our favorite spots for a low-key drink outside. Now, however, it’s called Arlo Roof Top - and it’s unfortunately become more of a typical club. The lawn flamingos and kiddie pools are no longer on the outdoor terrace, and, on our latest visit, there was a line to get in despite the fact that the place was half-empty. Also, the music was bad. The Verdict: There are other rooftop bars where you can and should be drinking downtown." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg, chris stang, matt tervooren
