Jaja - Review - Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Whether you’ve been in Berlin a day, a week, or a decade, you should know that ja means yes. At Jaja, you’ll say, “yes, yes,” with every small plate that lands on your table. And you’ll need a few here—the food packs a punch, but there isn’t much of it. Get the fried sea bream with sesame and ginger, the onsen egg, andthe oyster mushrooms in a plum miso sauce. Jaja excels at the Berlin wine bar bistro formula—white brick walls lined with bottles of natural wine, and a small but thoughtful menu using local, in-season ingredients that changes daily. You’ll need to book ahead on weekend evenings, when the bar is buzzing with couples who have just become exclusive, and friends picking at celeriac tortellini before continuing the night elsewhere." - Olivia Ladanyi
