ROCA Pizza

Pizza restaurant · Pacific Palisades

"While Roca’s downtown location may be convenient for shoppers or anyone who got out of the latest Avengers movie hungry, the pizza here is simply not good. (Which is a shame and potentially expected, since the place is run by a co-founder of California Pizza Kitchen.) At this Roman-style slice shop, the pizza tastes noticeably like it’s been sitting out all day. Stale, medium-thick crust hurts your teeth, and despite some eye-catching varieties like Thai chicken and amatriciana with guanciale, each slice tastes exactly the same: like nothing. If you’re craving pizza in the Palisades, just go to Flour Cafe, a far superior slice shop only a few blocks away." - Brant Cox
