"When we have friends planning a visit to New York, we tell them to stay at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn for the sole purpose of meeting them at the lobby bar for a drink. It’s dark and spacious, with lots of armchairs, green velvet couches, and a bar under a big circular window where bartenders mix ice-cold cocktails like the Part Time Lover with gin and banana liqueur. Like at its Manhattan location, during the day it fills up with people working on computers while eating avocado toast, and then at some point around the totally respectable hour of 4pm, they order their first drink. Then, the computers close, a DJ might show up, and the evening really begins. Come and loiter for a few hours, or swing by for a drink before your reservation at Gage & Tollner." - Willa Moore
