"Nantucket’s best bagels are chewy and crusty with a dough that has actual flavor in each bite. They come from Slow to Rise, a current pop-up that’s at the wildly popular Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market downtown every Saturday morning. And it’s worth getting out of bed early and fighting the crowds for their bagels, spreads, sourdough focaccia, and cookies (especially the brown butter chocolate chip). Most of their food sells out within the first couple of hours, so you can also try their Thursday-Sunday home delivery, or snag some at the Sconset Market in the mornings and most Sundays outside the new Nantucket Crisps store. (They’ve also got a permanent location in the works.) No matter how you track them down, Slow to Rise bagels are worth the chase." - Brennan Carley
