"With its University District location and not-too-long lines, Toasted is practically set up for success. But the bagels at this Mediterranean counter are a letdown. Ironically, you do need to ask for them toasted—otherwise, prepare for a stale fate that date paste and labneh or sundried tomato-basil schmear simply cannot salvage. If you happen to be a hungover college student who requires a turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich washed down with iced coffee to survive a Sunday morning, this place will undoubtedly come in handy.
