"The first thing you’ll notice about the Mexican spot El Borrego De Oro is the sign. It’s turquoise and pagoda-shaped, with a big sheep in the middle of it. It’s a remnant of the building’s former life as a Chinese restaurant, but you’d never know the space was anything else. The space feels lived in and cozy—the type of place that has its regulars who’ve been coming in every weekend for menudo for decades.
