"A lot of shabu shabu broths are essentially hot water, with dipping sauces providing most of the flavor. But at this casual AYCE spot in Koreatown, the broth does the heavy lifting. There are seven soups to choose from, including rich beef bone broth and spicy versions with chili powder swirling in the roiling bubbles. Skip loading up on the hot bar items–the fried dumplings tend to get soggy unless they’re fresh—and focus on the buffet of add-ins. The sleek, shiny dining room has enough tables to feel like a food court, and the reasonable price makes it great for catch-up meals of dunking and dipping shaved wagyu between life updates. Just know you’ll have to get up from your seat for a refill of bok choy." - cathy park, brant cox, sylvio martins, andrew ryce, garrett snyder
