"This Lauderdale dive bar has been open since 1948, even though it doesn’t really feel like a bar in its 70s. A lot of the details have been lost (or repaired) from its early years. Today, Kim’s is broken into two sections. There’s a front room where loud music plays over folks watching TV at the bar, and a more lively back room full of pool tables, ping pong, and darts. Hang out there. It’s got better energy and more activities. It’s a smoking bar too, so don’t be surprised when you walk in and the place smells like an ashtray." - Ryan Pfeffer
