"Table 22 is in an area that’s so directly out of central casting for “European tourist traps” that it should be considered for the Palme d’Or. It’s on a cobblestone street in Le Suquet, up a giant hill full of shops selling Cannes-branded T-shirts and shot glasses, and selfie-taking crowds we might normally try to avoid. But thanks to an incredible food and wine list, Table 22 stands out. While you can order the seasonal, provençal dishes a la carte, the menu includes a reasonably priced tasting menu featuring things like stuffed zucchini flowers, truffle risotto, and local fish. They also easily have the best wine list in town. While France might be the best place on earth to source and drink wine, Cannes is more commonly associated with commodity champagne, and visitors often opt for rosé-guzzling. While we’re not opposed to this when the mood strikes, if you're seeking a proper white Burgundy, a rarer Rhône, or whatever the hottest wine from the Jura might be this week, this is your place." - sophie friedman, michael sinatra
