"The name of this Hialeah spot sounds like your abuela’s prayer before dinner. And what you experience beyond the entrance sign of Fonda Dulce Jesus Mio Miami does feel like the work of some divine being. The space primarily functions as a Colombian restaurant, serving classics like sancocho de costilla and arroz paisa. The servers wear long dresses with the colors of the Colombian flag and there are mirrors all along the walls that give an illusion of grandeur (or a mirror maze at your neighborhood fair). At night this place transforms into a club and suddenly you’re two shots of aguardiente away from running into said mirrors. On Fridays and Saturdays, their hours run from 11:30am to 5am. This isn’t a typo. Fonda can be a casual family dinner or a full-blown pachanga. It just depends on what you’re in the mood for." - Mariana Trabanino
