The 12 Best DC Restaurants For Special Occasions - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Formerly Elizabeth’s Gone Raw, this fine dining favorite is now simply Elizabeth’s. The menu is no longer exclusively raw and vegan—just vegan—but that hasn’t diminished the unique vibe of the place. Housed in a Federalist townhouse down the street from Thomas Circle, Elizabeth’s only serves dinner Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and reservations are a must. It’s a prix fixe play at $110 per person for a six-course tasting, so if you’ve got indecisive diners in your group, they won't be able to slow things down waffling over the menu. Dishes rotate seasonally; one recent highlight for us was the Pacific Connection, a sinfully succulent blend of okinawa purple potato, loroco flowers, and aleppo spiced caviar." - tristiana hinton, omnia saed, mekita rivas, allison robicelli
