"Based on the crowded dining room and patio, meat lovers of the Main Line love Wilson’s Secret Sauce. The Upper Darby spot has all the signatures of a BBQ place: a pig in a chef’s hat is on the logo, and the scent of sizzling meat hits you as soon as you walk in the door. But while the aesthetic is certainly on point, the food can be hit or miss. We opt for the brisket, which is smoky bliss, and the don’t-leave-anything-on-the-bone ribs. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken is more sauteed, and the gigantic side dishes are similarly meh. Still, it’s an affordable option for a group meal when all you want is beefy meat and crispy onion rings (platters are $25). video credit: CANDIS R. MCLEAN photo credit: CANDIS R.
