"Each dish at this tiny, ornately decorated omakase spot is nearly flawless. And with just eight seats, it’s easy to lock in on every detail. The nigiri is exceptional, especially the buttery toro. The chawanmushi with freshly shaved truffles is a soothing bite of black-tie comfort food, and the sweet, custard-like tamago, with its rich center and lightly crisp exterior, is reminiscent of a basque cheesecake. At at least $200 per person, Ren should be high on your list for a seriously intimate, seriously high-end omakase experience.
