Havens Harborside Fish & Chophouse - Review - Maui - The Infatuation
"Havens is like a house dress that doubles as a date night outfit. The huge space by the harbor has cozy areas, particularly the patio in the evening, for an intimate dinner, but there’s also plenty of room for a big gathering. It’s also easy to find something to please the table, like charbroiled steaks, and clams steamed with sake and Portuguese sausage (get it with the cast iron focaccia to sop up all the broth). The best deal on the menu, though—and what we see regulars ordering—is the Bucket List meal that’s big enough for two with fried chicken, plus the silkiest mashed potatoes, giardeniera, and Hawaiian chili pepper jam. At lunchtime, come for the excellent smashburgers that Havens originally built its name on. You can also find these crispy-edged patties on plush buns at the Havens food truck in Kahului that’s located in a parking lot across from Costco." - Martha Cheng
