"Tavern used to be the place for snacks and drinks in Midtown before it closed in 2022. It’s back open, and still a remarkably solid place for (you guessed it) snacks and drinks in Midtown. The buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese mousse returns with the sauce now conveniently on the side so your bite stays crispy, but the OG kale salad with its zippy and memorable Parmesan-lemon dressing remains blessedly unchanged. They also have a menu of creative spritzes, like the Esperanza with blanco tequila and a rosè prosecco, and the most comfortable bar stools our backs and butts have ever graced." - Ann Walczak
