"This Midtown Spanish tapas bar is our go-to place to buffer (or entirely avoid) awkward conversations. On some nights, Flamenco dancers strut around tables or a DJ spins a set of Latin and dance music so loud you'll have to communicate through nods and facial cues. And on Fridays, they offer Salsa and bachata lessons in the basement. It all works to keep the energy high enough that you can forgive the mostly mediocre menu. Just stick to our favorites: the scallop ceviche in a spicy pepper sauce and the ricotta and fig jam spread with crusty sourdough. On nice days, we’ll happily plant ourselves on the patio underneath the colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling and sip Sebastian's signature gin cocktails." - nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard
