"Purple Orchid in sleepy El Segundo feels less like a tiki bar and more like a neighborhood watering hole with a bunch of tiki design choices. And we don’t mean that in a bad way. At Purple Orchid, you aren’t just drinking navy grogs under a thatched roof, you’re drinking navy grogs while watching the Dodgers and keeping pace at darts with an older gentleman in bermuda shorts who keeps saying, “Deep sea fishing ain't what it used to be.” Weekends get crowded, but our favorite time to visit is for their weekday happy hour from 3-7pm with $10 mai tais." - Brant Cox
