"If you’re wondering where the cheap drinks have gone in Miami, they’re hiding inside this windowless Pinewood dive bar, where Happy Hour is a never-ending phenomenon. The Chicagoan opens every day at 8am, when it serves $2 drinks until noon and $5 until 1am. The bar can get pretty packed at night with hookah smoke and karaoke participants. But if you stop by during the day, you can enjoy your astoundingly affordable Hennessy margarita in peace. They keep the door locked and you’ve got to ring a bell to get in, but it’s open—even if the building looks slightly abandoned. The bar only closes from 4am to 8am, just long enough to sweep the floors and clean the bathroom. photo credit: Ryan Pfeffer" - Ryan Pfeffer
