The Cheesecake Factory - Review - Elmhurst - New York - The Infatuation

"Queens is arguably the best place to eat in the world. But what if all that glorious variety, all that delicious abundance, should start to feel overwhelming? Then take a step back, and choose a restaurant so consistent, so predictable, that it doubles as a general anesthetic. Choose a menu so long that you will have visibly aged by the time you’re done reading it. Choose maximalist decor that looks like the Eye of Sauron collabed on a line of home goods at Pier 1. Choose a Glamburger. Choose The Cheesecake Factory. The Queens Center Mall location is like pretty much every other Cheesecake Factory, of which there are more than 200 around the world. But this one is ours—the only location in NYC. (Though there is one in Jersey City.) There's nothing ironic about our affection for their avocado egg rolls, Cajun jambalaya pasta, and endless refills on the brown bread. The cheesecakes are pretty good, too, even if they taste ever so slightly artificial, like Nilla Wafers. photo credit: Kate Previte photo credit: The Cheesecake Factory photo credit: The Cheesecake Factory Pause Unmute RESERVE A TABLE" - Molly Fitzpatrick
