"Seating barely 20, this tiny place feels like one of the city’s well-kept secrets: climb an extremely narrow staircase, then ask for the table next to the glass panel, where you can watch a compact team of chefs prepare your dinner. Tales and Feelings takes detours around the world, from hamachi crudo to’nduja ravioli, before taking a U-turn back to the island with lapu-lapu (red grouper)-based dishes and a squid ink risotto with shrimp from Cebu’s famed Sibonga shrimp farms. You have to sacrifice looking polished for that risotto, which is our absolute favorite thing on the menu.
