"Some birthday celebrations need a little Vegas-style aplomb, and Jeff Ruby’s is about as close as you’re going to get to that in Nashville. If the platform stage with a full band doesn’t do it for you, maybe the chocolate replica of a Nike Air Max served in a Louis Vuitton glass case for dessert will. Add crystal chandeliers, lighting flanked by raucous red feather plumes, and red king crab-topped ribeyes with a “Bad Ass” cigar on the side, and an impromptu trip to the slots in Kentucky doesn’t feel too far-fetched." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
