"This Homestead spot is known for burgers, but coming here and not getting mofongo is like only listening to Marc Anthony’s English hits. It comes with arroz con gandules, pickled red onions, and a rich bone broth you should be dunking that garlicky plantain mash into. We like ours with crispy fried pork. It’s a very small restaurant, with just a handful of tables and patio seating in the back. Sit inside so you can appreciate the paintings from local kids and artists." - mariana trabanino
