Along Gotanji Bathing Beach on the Seto Inland Sea, this casual island resort is a 12-minute walk from the Benesse House Museum and 4 km from Miyanoura Port ferry terminal. Accommodations range from trailers with pull-out sofas and bunk beds, to yurt-style tents that sleep up to 4, and have minifridges. Some quarters offer sea views. There’s no air-conditioning, and bathrooms are shared. Zen-like, minimalist cottages with tatami floors and futons feature en suite bathrooms. Amenities include a casual cafe and deep soaking tubs (surcharge).
