The Inn at Little Washington Celebrates 40 Years at Vaux-Le-Vicomte
"Vaux-le-Vicomte, Nicolas Fouquet’s posh château southeast of the city center, played host to a grand celebration organized by chef Patrick O’Connell for The Inn at Little Washington's 40th anniversary. O’Connell worked closely with the château's exclusive caterer, Potel et Chabot, and the event featured a menu inspired by a 17th-century party thrown for King Louis XIV, with dishes including truffle soup served in a goose egg and crowned with puff pastry, roast pigeon, and foie gras en croute. The event, priced at $3,000 per person, also included entertainment such as jugglers, musicians, flamethrowers dressed in 17th-century garb, and fireworks." - Abbe Baker
